Visitor Services provides specialized tours for campus department hosted event/conference attendees or as a part of a new student orientation, coordinated and requested by UC Berkeley staff or faculty. These tours are not for school groups, non-Berkeley related organiziations, or general visitors to the campus - please instead visit our Special Group Tours or Free Walking Tours pages. Subjects covered include history, traditions, academics, research, and student life.

Before submitting your request, please visit our Group Tour calendar to see if we have a date and time that will fit your needs. If you book a tour on this calendar, you can still pay the tour price via chartstring by emailing us tour@berkeley.edu.
Please note that this form is for internal use only, intended for campus departments to provide a campus tour for their event/conference attendees or new student orientation. You must be a UC Berkeley staff or faculty with an @berkeley.edu email address.
Availability depends on the time of year. We are unable to provide tours between semesters. Additionally, we are unable to give tours during the RRR period, finals weeks, Spring Break, and Winter Break. Tours are conducted completely outside as we are unable to tour inside buildings. Walking tours are either 60 or 90 minutes (we want to make sure we provide a quality tour rich with information). We are unable to offer shorter tours.
The maximum number of visitors per guide is 30. An appropriate number of guides will be assigned based on the number of visitors. We will always do our best; however, due to guide availability, there may be times when we won’t be able to provide a tour.
If you need a golf cart tour, we can hold up to 5 visitors and the tour is 1 hour long. The tour can start and end almost anywhere on campus. We are unable to start or end the tour off campus. Please note we are unable to provide golf cart transportation around campus. Our golf cart is used for campus tours only, driven by a student campus ambassador. These staff/faculty-requested tours must be requested via the form below at least 21 days in advance. If you are requesting a tour that is in exactly 21 days or less than 21 days, please fill out the form and additionally email us at tour@berkeley.edu to ensure we confirm your tour today. For tour requests within 21 days, please still fill out the form but know that we might not be able to find a tour guide.
Tours conducted by June 30, 2024 are $25 per guide. Tours starting on or after July 1, 2024 will be $50 per guide. The cost is payable by chartstring. Your tour is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us.
