Free guided walking tours for individuals and families
We offer free 90-minute walking tours of the campus seven days a week at 10am, rain or shine. Our expert guides are student ambassadors who know the university and student life. Applying to Berkeley? History buff? Nostalgic alum? A campus tour is perfect for you.
These walking tours are for individuals, families, and parties of up to 9 people. If you are a school group, organization, a party of 10 or more people, or you’re interested in a private tour for a fee, please visit the Special Group/Private Tour Page for more information.
Tours start at the Koret Visitor Center at 2227 Piedmont Avenue in the historic California Memorial Stadium EXCEPT on home Saturday football game days when the tour will start at the Campanile, the tall clock tower (Sept. 1, Sept. 15, Sept. 29, Oct. 13, Oct. 27, Nov. 17, Nov. 24). Please note that the tours on these home football Saturdays are already full and unfortunately we won’t be adding more tours on those days due to severely impacted parking. Tours on Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 12-13) are listed here and no reservations are required.
