We offer a limited number of engineering tours during the fall, spring, and summer semesters for prospective and newly admitted undergraduate students and their families. The 90-minute guided walking tour will visit several buildings in the College of Engineering, led by specially trained campus ambassadors. Find out about teaching, research, student projects, services and groups. You’ll learn some general campus information on this tour, but the bulk of the tour focuses on the College of Engineering and it does not replace the general campus walking tour. You will need a separate reservation for a general campus tour.
Space is limited and reservations are required.
Summer 2019: We have a few dates between August 19 – September 20 where we’ve secured an ambassador for an engineering tour. Please check the calendar for availability.
Fall 2019: Engineering tours are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and select Fridays from September 23 – December 4. The select Fridays are October 11, October 25, November 8, November 15, and November 22. They will not be offered on Veterans Day (Monday, November 11) or the day before Thanksgiving (Wednesday, November 27).
Spring 2020: Engineering tours will start in mid-February and run through April 30. They will be offered 2-3 times a week (weekdays only) with dates/times to be determined in late January as it’s dependent on our ambassadors’ class schedules. They will not be offered on Presidents Day (February 17), over our Spring Break (March 23-27), or on the first Friday of every month.
Summer 2020: Engineering tours run May 26 through August 14 with dates (weekdays only) and times to be released in May. They will not be offered on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25).
