Undergraduate Engineering Tours

We offer a limited number of engineering tours during the fall, spring, and summer semesters for prospective and newly admitted undergraduate students and their families. The 90-minute guided walking tour will visit several buildings in the College of Engineering, led by specially trained campus ambassadors. Find out about teaching, research, student projects, services and groups. You’ll learn some general campus information on this tour, but the bulk of the tour focuses on the College of Engineering and it does not replace the general campus walking tour. You will need a separate reservation for a general campus tour.

Space is limited and reservations are required.

Summer 2019: Engineering tours run May 28 through August 16. They are offered Monday-Friday, once a day from 2:30-4pm. They are not offered on May 27 (Memorial Day) or July 4. Most of our engineering tours are fully booked for the summer and we will not be adding additional tours.

Fall 2019: Engineering tours will start in mid-September and run through December 6. They will be offered 2-3 times a week (weekdays only) with dates/times to be determined in late August as it’s dependent on our ambassadors’ class schedules. They will not be offered on Homecoming (Friday, October 18), Veterans Day (Monday, November 11), Thanksgiving Week (November 25-29), or the first Friday of every month.

Spring 2020: Engineering tours will start in mid-February and run through April 30. They will be offered 2-3 times a week (weekdays only) with dates/times to be determined in late January as it’s dependent on our ambassadors’ class schedules. They will not be offered on Presidents Day (February 17), over our Spring Break (March 23-27), or on the first Friday of every month.
